What this site is

Byte Journal is a personal technology publication run by one person. It publishes short sourced news briefs on AI, infrastructure and security, and longer field notes from running automation and self-hosted infrastructure. It is not a company and offers no paid products or services.

Everything here is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Accuracy and corrections

I try to be accurate but make no guarantee. Briefs summarise cited reporting and each one lists its sources at the foot of the page; field notes describe a specific setup that may not match yours. Products, services and companies change, and code or configurations written for one arrangement can fail in another. Corrections are welcome and are made when I can confirm the error. Rely on anything here at your own risk and verify important details before acting on them.

The writing and images on this site are © the author, all rights reserved. You may link to pages and quote short passages with attribution. You may not republish articles in full, reproduce the writing or images for commercial use, or scrape the site for republication without written permission.

Pages and the newsletter may link to other sites. Those sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content or practices.
